About Us

We have been involved with Golden Retrievers since 1991 when we acquired our first Golden.  At the time we wanted a family pet and Ann wanted to train a dog for competitive obedience.  Our research lead us to a litter bred by Mercedes Hitchcock of Belvedere Kennel and soon Misha joined our family.  Misha was the ideal first dog.  He and Ann successfully competed in obedience and he earned a Senior Hunter title with Mike.  Above all, he was a beloved family member.

Over the years, Ann has become more involved in retriever field events, and Mike has taken up the hobby of flint knapping. We are members of the Golden Retriever Club of America, the Finger Lakes Retriever Club, the Cuyahoga Valley Golden Retriever Club, the Presque Isle Retriever Club, the Buckeye Retriever Club, and the Cleveland All-Breed Training Club.  

Ann is an AKC Retriever Hunt Test Judge (#93902) qualified to judge at all levels.

We are proud that all of our dogs are 100% owner trained and handled.
